Cricklade Jenner Hall – Terms of hire
Cricklade Jenner Hall is a registered charity: Charity number 1120507
Thank you for choosing the beautiful Jenner Hall as your venue of choice for your event. Please review the terms of
use below before submitting your request form. Upon receipt of your request, someone will be in contact with you to
discuss and confirm your booking, as well as agree payment. If you have any questions, please email

What’s included with your hire
The cost of your hire includes:

  • Heating of the hall
  • Use of the kitchen facilities, including all equipment within the kitchen
  • Use of the toilet facilities
  • Use of the outside courtyard
  • Use of the tables and chairs within the hall

    Terms of use for the hall
    Setting up for your event
    Hirers must ensure there is sufficient time allocated within the booking for setting up and cleaning the hall as required
    Decorating the hall
    We welcome you to decorate the hall as you require for your event, but please do not use blu-tac, sticky tape, or any
    other adhesives on the walls or paintwork to hang decorations or posters within the hall.
    Hooks have been provided within the hall for hanging decorations

    Music / noise
    Due to the close proximity of our neighbours, music and noise must stop by 11pm
    Alcohol
    Alcohol cannot be sold in the Jenner Hall unless the hirer applies for an obtains a licence from Wiltshire Council. This
    can take around 5 weeks to arrange.
    Health and safety
    Any activity or decoration you may be using during your hire must be subject to your own health and safety risk
    assessment, and appropriate steps taken to mitigate risk.
    Cleaning the hall before you go
    The checklist at the bottom of this document must be adhered to on leaving the hall. Sufficient time must be set
    aside for cleaning within your hours of hire. Failure to comply with the checklist may result in a fee.
    Facilities at the hall
    Jenner Hall Rooms
    At the hall, we have the below rooms/facilities:
  • Fully equipped kitchen (see ‘Kitchen equipment below’ for more details)
  • 3 toilets, including disabled and baby-changing facilities
  • The ‘Main hall’ – 9 x 6 metres
  • The ‘North hall’ adjoining main hall – 7 x 4 metres
  • Large courtyard at front
    Parking
    There is no parking on site, but there is free parking on the road at the front, and a small free car park next to the
    church.
    Further parking in Cricklade is available free of charge.
    Kitchen equipment
    We have enough kitchen equipment below for 50 – 60 people
  • Knives
  • Forks
  • Teaspoons
  • Spoons
  • Mugs / cups / saucers
  • Dinner plates
  • Wine glasses
  • Tumblers
    We also have the below items:
  • Fridge/Freezer
  • Toaster
  • Microwave
  • Kettle
  • Water boiler (mounted on wall)
  • Large tea pot
  • Serving jugs (various sizes)
  • Pint glasses (~20)
  • Casserole Dish
  • Serving Dish
    Dishwasher
    There is a commercial dishwasher within the kitchen at the Jenner Hall. Instructions on how to use the dishwasher
    can be found hanging up above the dishwasher
    Oven
    There is a standard size oven within the hall, with a hob. Please ensure it is left clean before departure (see ‘Checklist
    for leaving the hall’)
    Cleaning equipment
    We have the below items at the hall:
  • A mop (in cupboard behind door to toilets)
  • A floor brush (in cupboard behind door to toilets)
  • Paper towels
  • Surface cleaner
  • Washing up liquid
  • Sponge / cloth
  • Hand sanitiser
    Note: We do not provide tea towels for drying up, so you will need to bring these with you
    Chairs & tables
    In main halls
  • Armchairs (wooden chairs with arms, material seats and backs) – 25
    o NOTE: These chairs must not be stacked as it will damage the material on the seats
  • Red stacking chairs – 20)
  • Small tables (folding) – 10
    In back room
  • Folding chairs (in back room) – 30
  • Large tables (folding, 6ft) – 6
    Bins
    There are large bins out in the courtyard for general waste and recycling
    Kitchen hatch
    There is a hatch between the kitchen and the main hall, which can be operated using the little brown box switch to
    the right-hand side of the hatch when in the kitchen
    Heating
    The heating will be set for you remotely. However, if you need to boost the heat, there is a ‘boost’ button behind the
    microwave which can be pressed.
    Please do not change the heating settings within the hall unless agreed with the hall trustees.

    Curtains
    If you need to use the curtains, please be careful when opening and closing them, and use the pull sticks where
    available, as they are fragile
    Checklist for leaving the hall
    Hirers must ensure there is sufficient time allocated within the booking for setting up and cleaning the hall as required.
    We expect the hall to be vacated in accordance with the below:

    All armchairs must be replaced placed around the main hall walls
    NOTE: Chairs with arms must not be stacked
    All red stacking chairs should be stacked and placed in the ‘North’ Hall (side room to main
    hall)
    All small tables should be folded and put away in the ‘North’ Hall (side room to main hall)
    The stacking chairs and large tables must be returned to the back room
    Kitchen The kitchen must be swept clean of any debris, and mopped if required
    The dishwasher should complete a rinse cycle if it’s been used
    (see dishwasher instructions in kitchen)
    All used kitchen equipment should be cleaned and put away to their original location
    The oven (if used) should be cleaned to a reasonable state
    The fridge must be emptied
    Floors Floors throughout the hall must be swept clean of any debris, and mopped if required
    Toilets The toilets must be left in a reasonable state of cleanliness
    Bins Bins must be emptied, including those in the toilets, and the waste disposed of in the bins
    outside
    Lights All lights throughout the hall must be switched off before you leave
    Doors & keys All exits and windows must be secured
    If you have used the key from the external key box, this must be returned to the key safe
    and the dials moved on
    The main door must be closed firmly behind you, and checked to ensure it is locked
    The gate to the courtyard at the front of the door is closed
    Damages /
    breakages
    Any breakages or damage caused during your hire must be reported to
    JennerHall.Bookings@gmail.com for review
    If the hall is left in an unsatisfactory condition and/or is damaged, you may be charged a fee to the rectify the
    damages.
